Happy Birthday Ratan Naval Tata | An Entrepreneur | And a good Human Being

Dear Ratan Tata, you are the reason I Love India. Happy Birthday, Today on 28th December 2020 is your birthday.  Ratan means Gem, and you have given us a lot of gems like your word “Ratan”. Thank you for keeping your promise.

You made a promise to make the most affordable car in the world. A car for just Rs.1,00,000/- Everybody laughed, “It’s just impossible,” they said. And maybe they were right, we live in a world where even an Auto Rickshaw costs more than that. Your production was delayed as your factory moved from  Singur in West Bengal to Sanand in Gujarat because of the controversy. More than 9400 trucks were used to shift the entire plant to Gujarat. Raw Materials cost more than you promised. By the time you had finished the production, the time had changed, and  selling a car close to 1 Lakh rupees meant bearing huge losses and yet you said “A PROMISE IS A PROMISE!”

This country has given a lot to the Tatas and it is okay to give something back to this country. These were your thoughts! In an era when our decisions are driven by numbers and profits who care to keep a word? You did it! Thank you, Ratan.

Did you know Ratan Tata is an amazing pilot? In 2007, he became the first Indian to fly an American Fighter F-16 Falcon? This Fighter is so fast that at its top speed it can reach Mumbai to Delhi in just 30 minutes.

You have a fighter spirit in you, and you identify the fighter spirit in young businessmen too! You select startups to invest in, you respond to your emails, you have an Instagram account and you know how to stay in touch! In the corporate world it is said that whatever you put your hand into, you bring out gold from it.

Dear Ratan Tata, you continued the legacy of (JRD Tata) Jamsetji Tata. You know the story of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. In the British Raj, Jamsetji Tata was denied entry in a luxury hotel in Mumbai just because he was an Indian. So Jamsetji Tata made a hotel that was 10 times better and more luxurious than that one, and you continued this legacy.

Tetley Tea the world's second-largest tea manufacturer Tata acquired in 2000. Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR), Tatas acquired in 2008. These are all British companies and now they have Indians on the top.

You avenged colonialism. Thank you, Ratan! And when we talk about the Taj Mahal Palace, how can we forget the attack of 26/11 when an Icon of Mumbai was attacked by terrorists. But you mentioned, “We can be Hurt but we cannot be Knocked Out”. You stood outside the burning building of Taj regardless of your safety, you didn’t have to that. That’s not your job, but you considered it as your duty for the Nation. Thank you, Ratan for setting up (TPS) Welfare Trust in a record time of just two weeks after the attacks.  We can’t even imagine the trauma these terror survivors go through their entire life is shattered to pieces and physical injuries are one thing but what about the emotional scars, it leaves behind?

You set up a system to bring their life into their lives! You cared for all the terror survivors not just your employees, that’s why you extended your support to all those vendors too outside the hotel. 30 employees lost their lives, you knew that their loss cannot be compensated but you reduced the burden on their families. You assured them that their family will get full salary for life, Waived Loans Off and also you took the responsibilities of education of their children.

The Taj in Mumbai was rebuilt and today it is an even better icon than it was before!

                                                           THANK YOU RATAN!!!

You’ve been sometimes in the news for some wrong reasons but I’m sure that you will be remembered in the end as an Entrepreneur, Risk Taker, and overall a good Human Being. You know coal and diamond both are allotropes(forms) of carbon but coal is black and diamond is priceless. Why?

Pressure and time convert carbon into the crystal. Diamonds go through so much pressure that they become the hardest substance on Planet Earth. And you are one of them

Thank You Ratan Tata for devoting your entire life to people and India. At the time of the great crisis of Covid 19 (Corona Virus) You donated ₹500cr. and Tata Group Donated 1500cr. on the day PM Care Fund was made. You are a man of honor, you always think first for India and the people of India.

Currently, Tata Group has planted a new factory for the production of very small things of mobile hardware and other small things which we were previously imported from China. Tata has also started a new project for producing Lithium-ion batteries which are used in electric vehicles. Tata is also planning for electric cargo vehicles. Thank you, Ratan. You are a true Gem. And this is a reason I Love India.
