Introduction: In the new era of small, compact and affordable cars it was a need for more legroom and cabin height, with more power. 20 years 7 models 3 generation and 1 nation. Here is the story of  Maruti Wagon R(or WagonR) launched in 1999. It was an answer to the Hyundai Santro. Suzuki WagonR came with a lot of cabin space and the ability to seat even taller passengers with ease. Maruti also offered power steering, power windows and a powerhouse of 1061cc which produced 67 ps of power. It looked like a box but gave a feel like a sedan while driving it.
