While other companies were launching a sub-4m compact SUV Maruti had launched S-cross. Formerly it was launched with only diesel engine, but now Maruti is also going to launch a petrol variant.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, latest updated petrol-powered variant was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, and to be launched soon. The price of S-Cross starts from 8.85 lakh-11.43 lakh (Delhi Ex-showroom price).

Maruti earlier offered 1.6L diesel engine and the facelift was also offered with a 1.3L diesel one which is derived from Maruti Swift. Now the S-Cross is heading towards petrol engine and can also get the Ciaz’s 1.5L smart hybrid engine, with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic torque converter transmission.
